As a barista, it is important to follow what’s going on in the coffee scene, we often are the ones to introduce the trends to the cafés and customers. What do you think is the most exciting coffee related trend this year? Here are my predictions for coffee trends in 2018.

Coffee is a lifestyle and one way to showcase the love for coffee is coffee tattoos. By inking pictures of a coffee tree or a coffee cup, a true coffee lover tells others that I am serious about this, coffee is my passion. I had a cup of coffee with few coffee people who have inked coffee graphics on their skin and asked them to share the stories behind their coffee tattoos.

For some of us coffee is so much more than just a cup of black liquid. For a young, talented barista and an artist Rusnė Stankevičiūtė, coffee is a source of inspiration. Her artwork is filled with coffee beans and hints from barista lifestyle.

Coffee has dozens of flavors and in order to pull out those flavors correctly one need not only sense of taste but also sense of smell. Without sense of smell it's almost impossible to taste anything from coffee. Once in a while our senses might be a bit out of order so in this blog I want to share tips how to improve your sense of smell.

There is plenty of research about the positive effects of mediation towards comprehensive well-being of people. Researches show that meditation helps people to concentrate on the present moment and prevents dilution of thoughts. Dilution of thoughts had negative effect on learning new and fulfilling tasks.
